“Pekintaş is a company that has made significant progress in advanced technology, R&D, and innovation. I sincerely believe that the students educated at Esin Olcay Anatolian High School will also receive education in these fields, develop themselves, and contribute to our country.”

Chairman of the Board of Pekintaş Holding Özhan Olcay:
“The principal of this school is our educators; the owner of this school is Düzce and the people of Düzce.”

With a history spanning more than half a century and a proven leadership position across all sectors in which it operates, Pekintaş Holding by adding value to Turkey’s development through its innovative vision and strong sense of social responsibility has made a meaningful investment in education in Düzce. Built by Pekintaş Holding Chairman Özhan Olcay in honor of his mother, the 24-classroom Esin Olcay Anatolian High School opened its doors starting with the 2025–2026 academic year. The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Governor of Düzce Selçuk Aslan, Chairman of the Board of Pekintaş Holding Özhan Olcay, Board Member Özkan Olcay, Esin Olcay, Defne Olcay, and Members of Parliament Ayşe Keşir, Ercan Öztürk, and Talih Özcan.

Pekintaş Holding, one of Turkey’s established brands in industry and manufacturing, has added a new investment in education to its portfolio in line with its sense of social responsibility. Named after Esin Olcay, the mother of Chairman Özhan Olcay, the high school opened in Düzce will host hundreds of students with its modern architecture, contemporary educational infrastructure, and 24 classrooms. Hosted by Özhan Olcay, the opening ceremony was attended by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Governor of Düzce Selçuk Aslan, Chairman Özhan Olcay, Board Member Özkan Olcay, Esin Olcay, Defne Olcay, and Members of Parliament Ayşe Keşir, Ercan Öztürk, and Talih Özcan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Pekintaş Holding Chairman Özhan Olcay emphasized that Esin Olcay Anatolian High School holds both deep personal and social significance for him:
“We set out on this journey with the passion to fulfill any responsibility that falls upon us in Düzce. Exactly 357 days ago, we laid the foundation here, and within one year—on Monday, September 8—Esin Olcay Anatolian High School began the academic year with 48 teachers and 650 students, with not a single empty seat in any classroom. I thank all Pekintaş employees and suppliers who tied the steel, poured the concrete, managed the engineering projects, and worked tirelessly to complete this project in such a short time. My mother always taught us to be the giving hand. I wholeheartedly wish that all individuals educated in this school and stepping confidently into the future will also become people who give back and contribute to society. Our teachers have now taken over the school from us. The principals of this school are our educators; the owners of this school are Düzce and its people.”

An Investment in Turkey’s Future

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated that every investment in education is also an investment in Turkey’s future:
“Education and training can only succeed when all segments of society fulfill their responsibilities. As the Ministry of National Education, teachers, families, civil society organizations, and politicians all have duties. When everyone does their part, we will succeed. Today in Düzce, the number of students per classroom is 18 at the primary level and 19 at the secondary level. Likewise, the number of students per teacher is 15 in primary schools, 12 in middle schools, and 10 in high schools. This is a very important indicator. I would like to thank all our benefactors, especially the Olcay family, who earned their success in Düzce and reinvested part of it back into Düzce.”

Governor of Düzce Selçuk Aslan, speaking at the ceremony, highlighted the major contributions of the philanthropic Olcay family to Düzce, noting that Esin Olcay Anatolian High School is one of the most significant among them:

“This distinguished educational institution was constructed in less than a year, with 24 classrooms, 32 sections, and a sports hall, and opened for our students. I wish to convey my highest respects to my distinguished mother, Esin, and my honorable uncle, Özkan, for having nurtured and raised such an exemplary son as Mr. Özhan.”Beyond creating employment and producing strategic and technological output for Turkey and Düzce, sharing what one earns with the society in which one was raised is a great source of happiness for us.

Mayor of Düzce Faruk Özlü said:
“Düzce is a city that has made significant progress in many fields such as industry, trade, tourism, and education. Despite being Turkey’s youngest province, we have achieved an export figure of 2.2 billion dollars, ranking 20th among 81 provinces. Undoubtedly, companies like Pekintaş that produce and create employment in our city have a major role in this success. Pekintaş has made remarkable progress in advanced technology, R&D, and innovation
