Pekintaş Becomes Sponsor of Düzcespor

Calling on all residents of Düzce to support the team, Mayor Özlü said:
“Düzcespor does not belong to a single company or individual; it is the team of all the people of Düzce. Everyone should support the team to the extent of their means.”

The jersey chest sponsorship agreement between Düzcespor and Pekintaş was signed at the Düzcespor Facilities. The ceremony was attended by Düzce Mayor Dr. Faruk Özlü, Düzcespor Club President and Deputy Mayor Mehmet Saygun, Chairman of the Board of Schmid Pekintaş Energy Özhan Olcay, Board Member Defne Olcay, and club executives

Mayor Özlü said:

Speaking at the ceremony, Düzce Mayor Dr. Faruk Özlü emphasized the great value of Pekintaş’s support and stated that Düzcespor is not just the team of an individual or a company, but belongs to all the people of Düzce.

“Pekintaş is a valuable company that has been operating in Düzce since 1965 and contributing to the economies of both Düzce and Turkey. Pekintaş’s contribution is, of course, very important, and we extend our gratitude to Pekintaş. However, Düzcespor belongs to all the people of Düzce. All residents of Düzce should support Düzcespor to the extent of their means.

Recently, I made a post on social media, specifically calling on companies originally based in Istanbul but operating in Düzce to contribute to Düzce and to take ownership of social responsibility projects. One of the best examples of this is Pekintaş and Mr. Özhan. Mr. Özhan not only supports Düzcespor but also makes significant contributions to Düzce’s educational investments. Hopefully, we will soon attend the opening of a school built by Pekintaş.

We would also like to sincerely thank our dear colleague, our Deputy Mayor Mehmet Bey. He is making every possible effort, and we support him and call on all 412,000 residents of Düzce to support him as well. On the occasion of this meaningful gathering, I wish Düzcespor great success.”

Özhan Olcay: “Düzcespor Is a Bond of the Heart and a True Passion for Us”

Chairman of the Board of Schmid Pekintaş Energy, Özhan Olcay, reminded that Pekintaş has been operating in Düzce since 1965 and stated:

“Our relationship with Düzcespor has never been, and never will be, merely a sponsorship relationship. This is a bond of the heart; it is a passion and a journey we walk together, a companionship. In good times and bad, in hardship and in ease, in sorrow and in joy. I believe that Düzcespor represents a perception and a passion greater than the league it currently competes in. I sincerely believe that this will come to pass.

As Pekintaş Holding, we are in Düzce and we are here to stay. Everyone can be assured that, just as we have done until today, we will continue to do everything in our power from this day forward to be worthy of your support and of the love the people of Düzce have shown for our brand. I wish our passion, our red and navy colors, our pride of Düzce—Düzcespor—our athletes, technical staff, and supporters a season free of injuries, filled with success, and crowned with results that will bring joy to all our hearts.”

Defne Olcay also emphasized that their support for Düzcespor goes beyond sponsorship, stating:

“Standing by Düzcespor on this journey is the strongest expression of our commitment to sports, to Düzce, and to our country. On this occasion, I would like to extend my sincere thanks first and foremost to my Minister, Mr. Faruk Özlü, as well as to our President Mehmet Saygun, all board members, our technical staff, and our athletes. We hope that our red and navy jersey will achieve many great successes in the 2025–2026 season.”

Following the speeches, the sponsorship agreement was signed.
